What a great article ! I went through all of this with my daughter as well. I would never have learned to be a good mom without the help of my ex husbands mom and without going to school for early childhood education

Now I work in childcare programs conducting inspections , licensing , mentoring and investigating . My main objective is to teach childcare staff the importance of empathy and seeing through the lens of a child’s eye with real life experiences . Trauma for a young child is so different than for an adult – it could be something as simple as being yanked out of bed and dropped off at daycare without breakfast
