I went through this in 2006 when my mom in law was in palliative care. It was fucking brutal and heart ripping

She was the closest thing to a mother and best friend I ever had

I don’t know whether distance makes a difference

I stayed at her bedside for 10 days ….. waiting

When it finally happened on Oct 29 it was shocking still

But I felt relief – for her . Not for me

She’s at peace now
