Finally! Someone gets it! This is the way I feel also. It’s a twisted mix of envy and bitterness, jealousy and sadness. I love hearing lovely little “Little House on the Prairie” and “Cosby Show” stories of childhoods filled with fricking rainbows and daffodils. They are like fairy tales for me. It’s much better than reading the realities of what shitty childhood is like. I have already lived it, I don’t need to revisit it
