I have to admit, I have been on my own personal bandwagon lately, with the controversy of a an old Christmas song, “Baby It’s Cold Outside”. Canadian Radio stations are banning the song, due to it’s sexist nature, and the #metoo movement. Typically, I am a “live and let live” kind of person, and know what MY beliefs and ethics are. This controversy, however, has me setting up my own personal soapbox.
Full disclosure, I am not even a huge fan of the song, but it has a legacy factor, and has been a classic during the holidays since 1945. It was written during troubling times, in 1944, by a fellow name Frank Loesser. He and his wife used to perform the song while entertaining at Christmas parties.
